This was my first attempt at making a crumble; Boy, was I oh-so-thankful with how it turned out (and so were my guests)! This Gluten Free Apple, Pear and Blueberry Crumble is simple, flawless, and hard to mess up.

The best part is that this recipe uses all good ingredients. Sure, using butter and coconut oil may be higher in saturated fat, but they are REAL ingredients and that is what matters to me most. At nutriFoodie, we encourage homemade meals and desserts, even if they have some “unhealthy” ingredients because they are eaten in moderation and they are made from real, whole foods. Serving the crumble in small jars is also a great way to present this dessert because it allows for portion control – you eat what you see, right?

If you need a dessert recipe to impress your guests or just need to satisfy a sweet tooth, this Gluten Free Apple, Pear and Blueberry Crumble recipe will have you covered!

Enjoy!

Instructions
  1. Grease bottom of pyrex square pan and lightly flour it.
  2. Cut up the apples and pears, and spray/juice some lemon just to prevent them from browning.
  3. Mix all the rest of the ingredients in a bowl, minus the coconut oil. If it's sufficiently crumbly, you could leave out the coconut oil. If it's not, add it as necessary.
  4. Layer the pyrex with fruit on the bottom (apples, pears, blueberries), crumble mixture on the top, bake until golden brown at 350 for about 30-40 minutes. I then transferred the crumble into jars. If you want to bake it in the jar, make sure you use a water bath.
  5. Serve with vanilla or coconut ice cream and fresh blueberries.
